home_work On-site Posted 1 day ago Based on the North Shore; reporting to the director, you would work closely with a team of Financial Accountants to provide accounting support for the delivery of accurate and timely financial results to a variety of clients. The role focuses on a range of finance areas including management of book‑keeping, payroll, preparation of BAS & IAS, preparation for review of year‑end financials and tax returns for businesses and individuals. Your responsibilities will include Management of client reporting, liaising directly with clients to ensure information is received on a timely basis Preparation of monthly IAS and quarterly BAS Preparation of management accounts for clients Preparation of cash flow analysis for clients and helping them understand what the numbers mean Preparation of individual tax returns for review Preparation of company accounts and tax returns for review Preparation of UK accounts and tax returns for the firm's clients that require UK tax returns (based in both AU and UK). Management of queries received from clients Visiting Client sites to carry out work – mostly Sydney based. By nature, you can demonstrate Multiple accounting systems are utilised by a variety of clients so the ability to understand and work across systems is critical. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in order to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders The ability to collaborate effectively with the team to achieve common goals Problem solving and investigative skills with excellent attention to detail Being a team player but critical to be able to work independently and connecting with others in the business Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Technically speaking you will have Master’s in accounting degree preferred Commercial background with experience in a similar role Xero‑certified with payroll certification QuickBooks Certified CPA / CA qualified or studying towards this qualification Intermediate – Advanced Excel skills with good computer literacy required Have worked in a similar accounting practice environment for at least 12 months.
