Area Manager

Overview Area Manager (Dry/Wet/Infrastructure) – ARG007H. Worley is a global professional services company of energy, chemicals and resources experts. We partner with our customers to deliver projects and create value over the life of their assets, solving complex problems with integrated data-centric solutions from consulting and engineering to installation, commissioning and decommissioning. This role provides direction and project management to ensure project completion in accordance with contractual obligations for a section of a total project with a package value in the range of USD 100-500 million. Responsibilities Report to the overall Project Director as part of the senior leadership team; work collaboratively across the project, assigning project work and providing technical guidance to team members on medium to large projects. Review work for technical accuracy and adequacy; may have direct and indirect reports and authority for performance evaluations, hiring recommendations, training, rating and discipline. Make independent decisions and recommendations in managing a project; collaborate to ensure successful delivery of the overall project and drive organizational change as needed. Coordinate and execute project plans, including development of the Project Execution Plan and applying lessons learned to planning and execution. Manage project execution, coordination, and regular progress reviews; monitor Project Control Reports, identify problem areas and implement recovery plans. Ensure alignment with customer Basis of Design and applicable codes and regulations; ensure the design team complies with customer requirements and standards. Demonstrate attention to detail and a deep understanding of the engineering project delivery workflow and on-site construction support. Qualifications and Requirements 15+ years of experience in EPC/EPCM projects. Proven track record as an Area Manager overseeing Wet, Dry, and Infrastructure units. Extensive background in copper project construction, with specific expertise in heap leach operations. Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale projects with budgets exceeding USD $2 billion. Fully bilingual in Spanish and English. Ensures Worley methodologies, processes, tools and systems are used and compliance requirements are met. Broad knowledge of project elements (engineering, procurement, quality control) to oversee successful project execution. Ensures the design team is aware of and complies with customer Basis of Design and applicable codes and regulations. Demonstrates attention to detail and understanding of engineering project delivery workflow and coordination. Experience with procurement/subcontracting and on-site construction support; has completed a full project from start to finish and supported field implementation of engineered solutions. Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment and communicate effectively in both Spanish and English.
