Purpose Provides direction and project management to ensure project completion in accordance with contractual obligations for a section of a total project with package value in the range of USD 100-500 million. Defines project goals and devises methods to accomplish them; develops an in‑depth knowledge of customer objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies. Plans, organizes, manages, and controls projects with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by Worley. Supervises project personnel through subordinate leaders. Project managers will exhibit the leadership skills necessary to achieve project goals. Responsibilities Reporting to the overall Project Director as part of the senior leadership team, collaborate across the project and assign project work and provide technical guidance to people assigned to medium to large‑sized projects. Review work for technical accuracy and adequacy; may have direct and indirect reports and authority for performance evaluations impacting pay. Make independent decisions and recommendations in managing a project; collaborate to ensure both the section and overall project are successfully delivered. Apply broad functional knowledge and implement and lead organizational project change effectively. Develop and review Project Execution Plan covering all aspects of the scope. Apply lessons learned as inputs to planning the project execution. Manage execution, coordination, and implement regular reviews/controls to track project progress. Understand Project Control Reports, identify problem areas, and implement recovery plans. Interpret and understand key elements of the project schedule and resource plan. Incorporate Value Creation and Sustainable Solutions objectives into project plan, measures and deliver to objectives. Execute successful workshare execution. Requirements 15+ years of experience in EPC/EPCM projects. Proven track record as an Area Manager overseeing Wet, Dry, and Infrastructure units. Extensive background in copper project construction, with specific expertise in heap leach operations. Demonstrated ability in managing large‑scale projects with budgets exceeding USD 2 billion. Fully bilingual in Spanish and English. Ensure Worley methodologies, processes, tools and systems are used throughout the project, and compliance requirements are met/satisfied. Apply knowledge of all aspects of a project (engineering, procurement, quality control, to oversee the successful execution of the project plan). Ensure the design team is aware and complying with customer Basis of Design and applicable codes and regulations. Demonstrate attention to detail. Demonstrated understanding of engineering project delivery workflow and coordination. Experience with procurement/subcontracting and on‑site construction support. Have completed a full project from start to finish and spent time supporting the field to implement what was engineered.
