Dow has an opportunity for an Import / Export Specialist located in Buenos Aires (ARG) that will assure the run the business by properly manage the import license process, statistical, operational and commercial projections aligned with Government Import Requirements, according to Argentina Government Regulation regarding Automatic (SIMIs) and No Automatic Licenses (LNA), as well as any new regulation related with these topics. Scope: All businesses in Argentina, finished product, raw materials, spare parts and projects. Covers all modes of transport and interact closely with Chambers, Treasury, Purchasing, Commercial and Business Supply Chain organization as well International Trade Operations teams. Responsibilities / Duties Follow‑up of SIMIs and LNA: Responsible for the follow‑up, approval and closure of the process and for providing continuous communication in case of issues that can potentially impact the operation. Monitoring status of the blocks in the system related with SIMIs and LNAs, and proceed as per the internal processes to avoid delays. Operational and documentary monitoring of imports (Prices, quantities, origins, HS codes, among others vs licenses). Act as the Operational focal point with the different Chambers for all matters related to the operation (consultation of the status of SIMIs, LNA, analysis of regulations, etc.). Responsible for analyzing the news in regulations and communicate the changes to all impacted areas. Responsible for gathering the information from the different areas in a timely manner, process it and prepare the reports meeting the government agencies criteria. Close interaction with Business planning organization and procurement to guarantee the approval of the SIMIs / LNA. Follow‑up of temporary admission processes and their registers. KPI’s Regional Focal Point. Experience Required experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in International Trade Operations, preferably with focus on Import License Management and Government Agencies reports preparation. The critical competencies required for success are: interpersonal and teamwork effectiveness, initiative, problem solving and analytical skills, customer orientation and organization. Required Qualifications Required Education: University Degree, preferably in International Trade. Advanced in English language. Native in Spanish language. SAP knowledge (preferred).
