PURPOS E AND OBJECTIVES: You will be a member of the newly created Non-Financial and Sustainability Reporting area in the Corporate Financial Reporting department (CFR). This area comprises two workstreams: Regulatory Standards incl. EU Taxonomy and Implementation of SAP sustainability solutions. EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS: The Non-Financial and Sustainability Reporting area covers two main workstreams. Standards & Regulations: ultimately responsible for SAP’s corporate external reporting and its compliance with regulatory requirements (CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy, ISSB, SEC), including engagement with SAP’s auditor. Support Strategic Technology: engaging with SAP IT and Product Development to drive digital transformation at CFR in sustainability. This Finance Specialist role is allocated to the Support Strategic Technology workstream with focus areas including automating external sustainability reporting, preparing reporting infrastructure for upcoming changes, collaborating with Product Development, SAP IT, and SAP Consulting Services, acting as a business partner for field finance and executives, exchanging with customers and peers in sustainability reporting, co-innovation, and coordinating requirements for Sustainability solution implementations with IT. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: Required skills include a university degree in business administration, accounting, or sustainability management (Ph.D. a plus); basic knowledge of CSRD/ESRS, SASB, TCFD, ISSB; experience in project management and external reporting coordination; excellent English (German a plus); experience in analyzing regulatory requirements; hands-on problem-solving attitude; strong teamwork; interest in Digital Finance with automation and standardization; basic knowledge of Agile principles. WORK EXPERIENCE: Preferred 1+ years in external or sustainability reporting, integrated reporting, accounting, or related areas, or auditing of non-financial information; experience in managing projects; Big 4 experience is a plus.0 We build breakthroughs together.
