Overview Description Role Summary The Modern Work Functional Consultant partners with clients to envision, design, and optimize Microsoft 365 workloads—Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Copilot, Viva, Intune, and related security/compliance services. You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, translating requirements into sustainable solutions, automating tasks with scripts (primarily PowerShell) and low‑code tools. Key Responsibilities Advisory & Design Lead discovery workshops to capture business, compliance, and adoption requirements. Create functional specifications, user stories, and high‑level solution architectures for Modern Work deployments that leverage M365 capabilities. Understand and help identify data‑governance, security, and lifecycle management needs to M365 tools and licensing requirements. Advise on licensing optimization and roadmap planning. M365 Implementation and Copilot Enablement Design and configure collaboration and content solutions using Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Viva, and Microsoft 365 Copilot. Identify and prototype use cases for Microsoft 365 Copilot and Viva modules to augment productivity. Leverage AI tools (e.g., AI Builder, Power Automate, Copilot Studio) to streamline repetitive tasks. Leverage Power Platform plugins and connectors, and Microsoft 365 APIs for enhanced integrations with external systems. Leverage PowerShell/ Kusto/ Graph API scripts for tenant configuration, bulk provisioning, and health checks. Ensure responsible AI use aligned with enterprise policies and compliance frameworks. User Adoption & Change Management (Technical) Design and execute technical enablement plans with role‑based access, permission schemes, and site provisioning. Use Microsoft 365 telemetry (e.g., Productivity Score, Teams Analytics, Viva Insights) to measure adoption and tailor interventions. Implement contextual help experiences using Power Automate, adaptive cards, and Viva Learning. Create in‑app nudges, training workflows, and guided experiences to accelerate adoption. M365 Governance, Risk and Compliance (Technical) Define and implement governance strategies using Microsoft Purview for data retention, DLP, sensitivity labeling, and content lifecycle. Configure role‑based access control (RBAC), conditional access policies, and group lifecycle management. Implement security baselines, audit logs, and data protection controls in collaboration with IT security teams. Use automation (PowerShell, policy‑as‑code) to enforce governance at scale. Required Qualifications Advanced English communication skills. Experience: 4+ years administering or consulting on Microsoft 365 and adjacent cloud services; 2+ years writing production‑grade PowerShell (or comparable) scripts, 1+ years in M365 Copilot implementation. Technical Depth Strong knowledge of Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Azure AD/Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft Copilot, Viva Topics and Microsoft 365 security/compliance center. Proven ability to write, test, and document scripts (PowerShell, Kusto Query Language, or Python) for automation, reporting, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with REST/Graph APIs and JSON. Proven ability to roll‑out M365 Copilot for clients with data security, privacy and compliance checks, licensing strategy and support adoption activities. Familiarity with Microsoft security and compliance solutions (e.g., Purview, Entra, Defender). Soft Skills Exceptional client‑facing communication, requirements gathering, and presentation abilities; capable of translating technical detail into business value, effective communicator with both technical and business audiences. Certifications (any two) MS‑102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator) MS‑700 (Teams) MD‑102 (Endpoint Administrator) SC‑300 (Identity & Access) Education Bachelor’s in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. Preferred / Bonus Skills Experience with Power Platform governance and ALM. ITIL v4 Foundation or equivalent service‑management framework. Exposure to Azure OpenAI or Azure Foundry for implementing advanced Copilot workloads and service integrations. Scripting in Bash, Terraform, or Azure CLI for cross‑cloud scenarios.
