Public Policy Manager, Spanish Speaking South Meta Responsibilities Identify, anticipate, analyze, and advance policy issues, regulation, and legislation affecting Facebook and the tech sector in the Spanish-speaking South America Southern Cone sub-region. Work with political bodies, policymakers, academics, think tanks, private sector technical community, and civil society on technology policy issues. Act as liaison between internal and external stakeholders to promote activities that protect an open Internet and foster innovation. Articulate our policy positions in briefing papers, consultation responses, and internal policy meetings. Lead internal cross-functional processes working with policy, communications, product, engineering, marketing, and various internal and external stakeholders to develop and launch special policy projects. Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where processes are fluid and creative solutions are the norm. Minimum Qualifications 10+ years of professional experience. 5+ years of experience working with South American countries' political systems and government institutions. Track record of working with the public policy community, including policymakers, international, multilateral or regional organizations, think tanks, academics, civil society, technical community, tech companies, or trade associations. Strong organizational, teamwork, and communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work autonomously, think and move quickly, and juggle multiple high-priority projects simultaneously. Willingness to travel. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish. Preferred Qualifications 4+ years of specific public policy experience on the tech sector. Advanced degree in public policy, international relations, law, economics, or engineering. Previous work experience in a tech firm. Experience with an analytical and creative approach to policy issues, and as a cross-functional team player who can provide concise and business-focused advice and make sound judgments under tight deadlines. Experience in project and people management. Knowledge of Facebook products and principles.
