Marketing Activation South America

Collaborate with innovative 3Mers around the world

As Marketing Activation South America you will play a key role for support the execution of business plans in South America (Colombia, Peru, Chile & Argentina). Responsibilities include developing short-term tactical marketing strategies and Brand/Product Management marketing plans and contributing to longer-term tactical local activation plans and engagement driving demand generation (end-user, segments, through channel, sales enablement). Also provide relevant insights, input into area and global segment, portfolio and product teams.

Key Responsibilities

Drives execution of Graphics Portfolio (Which include Conspicuity), ADMD and EMSD within the South America region – SA - (Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina). Collaborates effectively with cross-functional groups to communicate clear direction, ensure alignment with the Sales team, Marketing Center, Supply Chain, Finance, Government Affairs, and other areas. Drives additional initiatives to develop new marketing programs to reach our customers (converters, distributors, Key accounts) through innovative plans that ensure profitability plans are in place to achieve regional and global expectations. Directs and coordinates the definition and deployment of the marketing strategy for the portfolio assigned. This includes key execution of: customize LATAM marketing plan to our region, portfolio management and development, market trends analysis, new product launches, business performance tracking. Represent SA region in quarterly business reviews. Responsible for South America Targeting, Segmentation, and Pricing strategies for each product Responsible for gathering and analyzing market intelligence reports and providing strategic feedback to the organization. Leads new product/ programs launches into the region. Responsible for review demand plans done by Sales Teams ensuring the right alignment.

Individual Accountabilities

Demand generation locally: o Identify opportunities and needs to leverage local social media/media/key platforms for communications o Execute on end-user communications o Make recommendation on media buys aligned to the global and area activation plans. Channel: o Syndication to the channel partner in country o Represent eCommerce capabilities and expectations of channel partners o General channel partners distribution, local specific channel partner engagement/execution of through channel marketing plans o Sales partnership and engagement: o Delivering programs/promotions/new product materials to field sales o Close alignment/partnership with sales teams to deliver programs Marketing updates: o Owner of the audience evolution – aggregate view of the local audience and articulating that to the area through Area Business Group Marketing Center, Region/Country Business Group or Division Leaders o Product Support: New product translation correctness and local requirement management, local material owners o Promotion planning (IBP process input) as defined by the IBP process and IBP process owner o Represent and ensure local marketing requirements are understood and managed: trade shows, customer events, key opinion leaders. o Deliver new product material, programs and promotions to sales aligned to global and area programs. o Creating new materials or programs only aligned to those strategies and when approved. Input to the area teams (area portfolio, NPI and area segment marketing): o Provide input to marketing planning, program o Competitive intelligence, customer, KOL and media platform trends o Ensure local regulatory and packaging compliance for portfolios/programs o Align to campaign outcomes/input/results o NPI voice of market, ideas, local needs, participate on global NPI team/with area new product marketers Promotion support: o Responsible for confirming translation correctness, as well as regulatory and legal alignment according to local and business laws and guidance o Interface with local application engineers, professional services and specialists on technical, whitepapers, customer testimonials and ensuring meets customer requirements to local regulations and requirements Manage local calendar for promotional planning and implementation.

Key Shared Accountabilities

 Leverage Customer Operation and Corporate Affairs activities and support to deploy programs (digital, communication, media relations, fairs and events, CRM, POS)  Provide insights of local market, product performance, customer demand and feedback through Area Business Group Marketing Center, Region/Country Business Group or Division Leaders Liaison to the local functions like channel marketing, division teams, customer service, sales force, application engineering, regulatory to represent market and customer Maintain the feedback loop on customer experience with all owners of the aspects of customer experience in area, region or country

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications: 

Bachelor level university/college degree in a related field (such as, sales, marketing, technical life science, etc.) is required . Master’s degree is preferred. A minimum of 6-9 years relevant working experience is normally required. In-depth knowledge and experience with the theories and practices of one or more disciplines such as sales, marketing,  Knowledge of computer programs relevant to the assigned area of responsibility (Ideally Salesforce, Power BI) Ability to communicate in written and spoken fluent English.
