Middle System Operations Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a Middle System Operations Engineer to join our team in Argentina.

About the role:
As a Middle System Operations Engineer, you'll become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experience of tomorrow. The role ensures the stability, deployment, and optimization of organizational environments. You will support Windows/Linux environments while preparing for future cloud-based operations.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor environments for health, performance and availability

• Respond to alerts and resolve issues to ensure reliable operations

• Apply patches, software updates and bug fixes

• Build, use and improve automation across the estate

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including runbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

• Ensure operational best practices

Requirements:

• Understanding of Linux and/or Windows systems administration

• Ability to troubleshoot issues on systems

• Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation

• Experience working with monitoring, logging and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Splunk, ELK stack)

• Understanding of networking concepts (e.g., IP addresses, DNS, basic troubleshooting)

• Experience with physical servers management (BMC, Ilo, iDrac, IPMI) is a plus

• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus

• Experience with cloud platforms is a plus
