System Operations Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a System Operations Engineer to join our team in Argentina.

About the role:

As a System Operations Engineer, you'll become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experience of tomorrow. SysOPS Role ensures the stability, deployment, and optimization of organization environments. This role fills a current support of Windows/Linux environments with future transition into cloud environments support. The OPS Engineer will assist with monitoring and maintaining Client's Windows and Linux-based environments.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor environments for health, performance and availability
• Responding to alerts and resolving issues to ensure reliable operations
• Applying patches, software updates and bug fixes
• Build, use and improve automation across estate
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including runbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Ensure operational best practices

Requirements:

• Understanding of Linux and/or Windows systems administration
• Ability to troubleshoot issues on systems
• Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation
• Experience working with monitoring, logging and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Splunk, ELK stack)
• An understanding of networking concepts (e.g., IP addresses, DNS, basic troubleshooting).
• Experience with physical servers management (BMC, Ilo, iDrac, IPMI) is a plus
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus

Desirable:

• Experience with cloud platforms
