This role is open to candidates based in LATAM, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Please note that as this role supports U.S.-based clients, candidates must be available to work during U.S. business hours aligned with the client's time zone.

Role Overview

The Associate, Operations & Ventures will support the Principal of the family office by executing and managing key projects across new business ventures and operational initiatives. This role centers on ensuring the successful launch of new ventures, streamlining operations, and managing cross-functional coordination.

You will work across acquisitions, project execution, and strategic planning, contributing directly to building and growing successful businesses.

Key Responsibilities

Venture Execution & Project Management (50%)

• Managing New Ventures: Lead and manage new ventures from the ground up, overseeing daily operations until dedicated management is hired. Ensure timelines and budgets are met, serving as the overall project manager.

• Project Planning: Build and manage launch plans for new businesses, including vendor sourcing (manufacturing, branding, shipping), system setup (websites, financial models), and process execution.

• Cross-Team Coordination: Act as the main point of contact for internal and external teams, ensuring alignment and timely completion of tasks.

Sourcing Deals & Coordinating Investments (30%)

• Finding Acquisition Targets: Research and analyze potential businesses for acquisition. Identify opportunities, initiate outreach, and evaluate viability.

• Managing Due Diligence: Coordinate legal, accounting, and other teams throughout due diligence, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to timelines.

• Communication & CRM: Maintain organized communication flow between investment partners and internal teams. Manage schedules, data requests, and follow-ups.

Supporting the Principal & Special Projects (20%)

• Research & Strategy Support: Use AI and research tools to gather market data, analyze findings, and prepare reports supporting business decisions.

• Meetings & Scheduling: Manage scheduling for the Principal, coordinating logistics and ensuring stakeholder alignment.

• Special Projects: Lead or support ad hoc projects such as market analyses or process improvements to enhance internal operations.

Qualifications

Experience

• 5+ years of experience supporting operational or strategic initiatives, ideally in a startup or fast-growing environment.

• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects, meeting deadlines and maintaining high quality.

• Comfortable using research tools (like AI) to gather insights and support business strategy.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate across teams and stakeholders.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing diverse priorities simultaneously.
