Job Description
- As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the availability, accuracy, and usability of our data infrastructure. Your expertise will contribute to the design, development, and automation of ETL processes, as well as the delivery of meaningful insights through dashboards and reports. By transforming business needs into scalable data solutions, you will help empower teams across the organization to make informed, data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain ETL processes to transform and store data
Run manual processes to load data into the Data Warehouse and automate them as possible
Translate business needs to technical specifications
Craft and execute queries upon request for data results
Design, build and deploy BI solutions (DB tools: MySql, Postgresql; Pentaho; Tableau)
Present information through reports and dashboards to business users
Create different visualizations to show information
Evaluate and improve existing BI solutions
Develop and update technical documentation
Work across all business units to evaluate BI needs
Qualifications
Mandatory requirements:
+2 Years experience as a BI Developer, BI Analyst, BI Engineer or Data Engineer
Ability to code and run SQL queries
Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling)
Understanding of database management functions, data modeling and ETL framework
Familiarity with reporting technologies (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Sisense)
Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g. Pentaho, Prefect)
Knowledge of Troubleshooting of Data Issues
Desired:
Travel Industry experience
Knowledge of programming languages
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Abilities to take initiative and be innovative
Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
Proficiency in the English language
