Role Overview

We're seeking a driven, self-motivated
Business Development Representative (BDR)
to help expand attendance at our monthly
Earn More, Work Less, Enjoy Life
business workshops and identify potential long-term fits for our
Owner Advisory Boards
. This role focuses on
top-of-funnel activity
: building targeted prospect lists, initiating outreach, qualifying leads, and driving workshop registrations.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify ideal small business owner prospects (typically $500K–$20M revenue, South Florida or Denver focus).
  • Manage outbound lead generation campaigns via phone, email, LinkedIn, and networking platforms.
  • Book qualified workshop registrations and intro calls with business owners.
  • Follow up with interested prospects to ensure attendance and move warm leads to the sales team.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems (ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, or similar).
  • Collaborate with leadership to refine messaging, targeting, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Track outreach KPIs (calls, emails, conversations, registrations) and deliver weekly reports.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of
    B2B (business to business) sales development or lead generation experience
    (no B2C - business to consumer), ideally in professional services, consulting, or high-ticket programs.
  • Proven success in appointment-setting or event promotion (bonus: small business, mastermind, or coaching experience).
  • Comfortable with outbound activity (cold calls, cold emails, LinkedIn outreach)—approximately
    40–45 calls per day minimum
    .
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with business owners.
  • Self-directed, organized, and metrics-driven.
  • Tech-savvy with CRM tools, email automation, , and LinkedIn Sales Navigator (preferred but open to similar experience).
  • (Preferred) Familiarity with South Florida or Denver business ecosystems, chambers, or associations.

Experience We Want to See

  1. Direct appointment setting or BDR work—experience booking meetings for professional services or workshops (not just SaaS demos).
  2. Event promotion or membership sales—ideal if they've sold memberships, associations, masterminds, or peer groups.
  3. Comfort selling to business owners—able to speak directly with owners, not just mid-level managers.
  4. Track record of outbound success.
  5. Adaptability—can think on their feet and refine scripts and outreach based on real-time feedback, not just follow a playbook.
