What you will be doing:
- Be responsible for the interaction with the external advisors of each LatAm country where Directa24 has operations.
- Review tax returns (direct and indirect tax) for monthly and annual filings.
- Manage and ensure top-notch tax compliance by liaising with local teams and/or relevant external firms.
- Prepare for, and assist with, external tax audits.
- Manage contacts, queries, relationships, and audits with local tax authorities. This includes managing any challenges, disputes, and tax litigation.
- Assist with the reconciliation of tax accounts.
- Assist with monthly tax position reporting.
- Develop and implement process improvements.
- Build a strong understanding of local financial statements to be able to reconcile them with the local tax returns.
- Identify tax opportunities considering P&L as well as cash outflows and recommend strategies to improve our tax efficiency.
- Keep track of and report changes in state, local and international statutes, regulations, and legislation within the region.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Being flexible & goal-oriented.
- Great attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, proactive, analytical and dynamic.
- Intermediate or upper English skills.
- Accounting and financial skills.
- Excel regular user.
- Experience in a similar position.
- Experience in Fintech or payment industry companies (it’s a plus).
