Role/Responsibilities

**The Role**
The Analyst role wil be responsible for the credit assessment of structured finance transactions backed by different assets types in accordance with the relevant methodology. The analyst will be responsible for primary and surveillance activities for credit coverage of a growing portfolio of ABS in the domestic markets, primarily in Argentina.
In addition to credit analysis, the role will be responsible for leading research activities related to the covered sector and it requires a holistic credit analysis of the local market, especially ABS sector. It will interact with other analysts and support analysts to produce work and should be mindful of the entire rating process and all the applicable formal requirements.

The role requires high attention to detail and may be working with complex modeling and cash flow analysis based on each transaction characteristics. The role also requires good communication skills in order to effectively convey rating rationales and methodological aspects with external market participants.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provides initial review and quality assessment of work products from support analysts.
- Actively monitor the portfolio and make recommendations for rating transitions in a timely fashion.
- Present credits effectively and comprehensively in rating committees and other internal analytical meetings, formulate a coherent rating rationale and present this rationale in a persuasive fashion while leading the committee discussion.
- Effectively and persuasively communicates credit knowledge and rating analysis rationale in both written and oral form.
- Develops and maintain an understanding of industry trends and issues.
- Produce timely and relevant research on specific issuers, general credit trends, or sector related issues that is in-depth, high quality, insightful and focused.
- Build and maintain high profile relationships with investors, advisors, and issuers.
- Coach and develop more junior analysts.

**Qualifications**:

- Graduate / second-level degree (e.g. MBA, Master’s) required or equivalent strong academic background.
- Five to seven years relevant experience with credit analysis primarily focused on corporate finance entities and transactions
- Proven and well-developed analytical skills
- Adequate written and oral communication capabilities in English.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities within deadlines.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills mandatory, VBA would be a plus.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
