Department
- Moody’s Local (ML) is a leading provider of domestic credit ratings and research in Latin America currently present in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Panama, Peru and Uruguay. Domestic markets have unique features, Moody’s Local combines tailored credit rating methodologies and a seasoned team of local analysts providing analysis specific to those local markets

Role/Responsibilities
- As a key member of the Moody’s Local team, the Business Analyst will be afforded unique insight into global strategies cutting across ML lines of business and have the opportunity to contribute to their execution and success in a dynamic office environment. In this newly crafted role, responsibilities will vary, but, in general, will include researching a wide range of issues relevant to the Moody’s Investors Service overseas franchise, supporting project management, drafting internal memos, helping produce presentations for senior management, and representing Geographic Management to internal and external constituents in the furtherance of our objectives.
- **Key Responsibilities**
- Support strategy and implementation of operations processes and projects in the region. Work on multiple projects and keep all partners informed and engaged throughout the entire development cycle.
- Support Business Requirements activities by providing end-to-end analysis for projects and initiatives within the region (example: data requirements, data flows, workflow context and design)
- Help in standardizing and improving usability and access to global management reports (example: running updates to the reporting packages used by country managers)
- Ensure timeliness and completeness of data and consistency with other reporting sources (example: maintaining, updating and improving the regional website)
- Contribute to ad-hoc analyses, presentations and special projects as needed

What you bring

**Education**

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a related field

**Experience/Qualifications**
- 2+ years of work experience with exposure to operations, project management, financial services or consulting
- Proven familiarity with business concepts
- Strong analytical skills, evidenced through work experience, coursework and/or extracurricular involvement
- Previous experience handling confidential information

**Skills**
- Proven attention to detail, self-motivated
- Highly organized and efficient
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish & English
- Process oriented
- Ability to multitask and work with cross-functional teams
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel

**Languages**
- Advanced oral and written English
- Portuguese will be considered a plus
