**Job Summary**:
We are looking for a Senior Category Buyer, who will work on the category strategy for the region. In this role you will be preparing negotiations using thorough quotation analysis, technically and commercially, supported by technical teams in LATAM.
You will be travelling up to 25% of your time to our customer sites and supplier sites
This position will be based in San Fernando, Argentina.
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring visas o relocation for this position.

**What you will do**:
As a Senior Category Buyer you will:

- Drive Category Strategy
- Drive supplier development activities (sourcing), together with product and supplier quality engineers.
- Ensure supplier contract legal compliance with support from the legal department.
- Support Strategic Supply Management by maintaining and improving the supplier base in relation to the quality, production capacity and cost reduction.
- Relationship management; ensure good relations with stakeholders, both externally and internally.
- Drive negotiation and contracting, considering Global contracts, bank guarantees, and equipment components, for project services.
- Own specifications, and customer specifications in the correct order of importance.
- Procurement of consumables and spare parts and components for Projects and Services
- Ensure purchasing deliverables meet project and service organizations' objectives in time, cost, and quality while maintaining good relationships with the project team.
- Ensure Purchase Order accuracy, in line with project needs and perfect PO (purchasing order) process, meaning smooth goods receipt and payment to the supplier as per agreement.

**We believe you have**:

- Bachelor’s degree, with a technical affinity/background, either through education or experience in manufacturing companies.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
- At least 5 years of purchasing experience gained within a manufacturing environment
- Strong negotiation skills
- Perform well under pressure and stress
- Dynamic and flexible with a proactive approach and a high sense of responsibility towards each task
- Positive attitude and a” high performance” position on your tasks and responsibilities
- Team player, cooperative and open-minded
- Open to change and work with deadlines by keeping a high quality of work
- Strong communicational skills
- Fluency in English
