**Job Overview**

The Quality Coordinator is responsible for implementing and executing quality assurance processes for specific accounts by collaborating closely with the assigned operational squad and their Project Managers. The Quality Coordinator ensures compliance with customer requirements and quality standards. This role requires a deep understanding of localization processes and a commitment to continuous improvement.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Coordinators in daily client communications, supporting quality-related discussions and escalations.
- Set the quality assurance framework for translation and layout work for a specific set of accounts/clients, to ensure consistency of practices across languages and that the content edited and/or translated by the department is always fit for purpose.
- Monitor and share Quality Control results and relevant feedback with the production & Quality teams (Quality Manager, PM team, linguists, designers, QA specialists).
- Lead the identification, investigation, and resolution of quality issues, including drafting root cause analyses and corrective/preventive measures.
- Organize and lead the development of onboarding and upskilling training for freelancers; conduct the quality assessments, monitor their performance and address gaps.
- Lead and oversee the creation, dissemination, and use of internal guidelines, glossaries, and QA automation rules to ensure the quality and consistency of the final output.
- Contribute to brainstorming and implementing process improvements to drive operational efficiency and quality.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Quality Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance within the localization or translation industry
- Deep understanding of localization processes, including translation, DTP, layout QA and linguistic validation
- Strong knowledge of QA tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with healthcare/government clients (or other highly regulated markets)
- Familiarity with translation management systems (TMS) and computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
