**Job overview**:
Reporting to the RBI LAC Quality Assurance Director, this position is responsible for ensuring that existing suppliers and distributors of food and packaging to the Restaurant Brands International (RBI) brands Systems (Burger King®, Tim Hortons®, Popeyes®, Firehouse Subs®) maintain RBI standards and meet RBI and industry quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements by reviewing and writing food and packaging product specifications in RBI platform. The Food technologist ultimately protects RBI guests, the brands, profitability, and regulatory reputation against damage caused by product safety or food security issues. Supports, advises and works with masterfranchisees, Supply Chain, Marketing, Innovation and Ops teams to drive profitable business growth and increase customer satisfaction in RBI products. Works closely with suppliers to develop, specify and support the launch of new products with the highest food safety and quality standards at the optimal food cost.
**Your skills and experience**:
- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related Technical Sciences.
- Certified HACCP training.
- 3+ years of quality assurance or production experience in food industry (Quick Service Restaurants, Food Manufacturing, Fast Moving Consumer Goods).
- Experience in New Product Development and general knowledge of food manufacturing and handling is required.
- Experience in the food industry processing development and specifications (ingredients & additive, sensory attributes, production and supply efficiencies).
- Results oriented and sense of urgency. Takes accountability and demonstrates drive in delivering results. Flexible and resourceful. Prioritizes workload and deploys resources according to RBI strategies and needs, to ensure timely execution of the critical objectives. Successfully manages high tension, crisis situations.
- Enthusiastic individual who can manage in a very organized manner the different processes involved in the position activities and responsibilities and that listen to the issues and then offer unique and innovative solutions or approaches to it.
- Process management experience is a must, which will require good time management and prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication skills and experience interacting with external people (customers, suppliers, etc.).
- Ability to remain professional and courteous with RBI stakeholders and suppliers at all times.
- Good analytical and problem solving skills.
- Fully fluent in English both spoken and written.
