Qontigo is launching a Young Professionals program to participate in a 6-month project. This Program is aimed to develop young professionals into their areas of interest.

As a Trainee in the Cloud Data Operations team, you will have the opportunity to gain work experience by monitoring and helping investigate technical and content-related issues on a cloud computing infrastructure (Microsoft Azure).

You will help to ensure the system is continually available and able to meet the needs of our clients, by gaining understanding of the system architecture, combined with a suite of third party and in
- house monitoring tools.

Additionally, you will also take steps to produce and validate the integrity of the data generated on our cloud infrastructure.

You will work closely with our clients and other team members in the Development, Research, Client Support and Implementation business units.

**Responsibilities**:

- You will be responsible for supporting the Cloud Data Ops department in day-to-day tasks, managing data and conduct necessary administrative tasks.
- You will also work on improving the current implementation of our monitoring tools (Nagios, Grafana, and Elasticsearch) by evaluating their present status and pursuing to evaluate alternatives.
- We expect you to assist the team with the daily monitoring of the client-processing infrastructure (either local or cloud-hosted)
- You will also be supporting managers on the Incident management process - reporting, preparing presentations, follows-up, and KPI tracking.

**Requirements**:

- Recent graduate or currently pursuing a degree in an IT or Data related discipline (advanced student).
- Exposure to cloud offerings (Azure, GCP, AWS, among others) is desirable but not mandatory.
- Basic Knowledge about financial products preferable.
- Linux OS administration knowledge will be highly considered.
- Good level of knowledge in MS Excel and Windows OS
- Experience with SQL, Python or other object-oriented programming languages will be highly considered.
- Eager to work in a dynamic environment and gain knowledge.
- Fluent in written and spoken English (mandatory)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communicational skills are needed.
