Lead Manual Tester

We are seeking an experienced **Lead Manual Tester** to join our performance playtesting team for an AAA game platform.

As a Lead Manual Tester, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a best-in-class gaming experience for players. You will lead testing strategies, coordinate the team’s efforts, and act as a key liaison between testers and other project stakeholders.

**Responsibilities**
- Shape the vision for testing strategies and standards that align with the project’s goals and timelines
- Plan and coordinate the execution of testing activities across multiple testers to ensure maximum efficiency and test coverage
- Mentor and support testers to improve overall testing effectiveness and knowledge-sharing
- Track and report on team performance, including activity metrics, attendance, and resolution of escalated issues
- Conduct thorough reviews of testers' performance and offer actionable feedback for improvement
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and development of new testing talent for the team
- Serve as the primary escalation point for troubleshooting critical defects and significant project challenges impacting testing efforts
- Act as a bridge between testers and cross-functional teams, ensuring testing workflows are integrated smoothly into the overall project processes

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of software testing experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
- Ability to work from the office starting 9-9:30 AM
- Flexibility to join planned weekend overtime shifts, once per quarter
- Deep expertise in understanding, analyzing, and adapting project documentation to testing activities
- Proven ability to create high-quality functional requirements and conduct specification review and analysis for completeness
- Experience in creating and leading testing plans for medium-to-large teams, ensuring streamlined execution and reporting
- Advanced technical experience installing and running builds on consoles/mobile devices and training teams to perform these tasks effectively
- Ability to coordinate a workstream of 5-20 testers or organize testing from scratch
- Experience in knowledge transfers, onboarding and upskilling others
- Extensive knowledge of software quality control processes and SDLC, with a focus on iterative improvements
- Broad gaming knowledge, encompassing multiple titles and genres
- Self-driven, with excellent time management skills and the ability to lead a team without constant oversight
- High level of discretion and reliability, with the ability to implement and enforce strict protocols for handling protected client information
- B2+ level of English proficiency for clear communication with diverse teams
