**Role expectations**
**Key Responsibilities**
New Employee Onboarding:
- Assist with the setup of new team members by preparing hardware (laptops, monitors, etc.), configuring software, and providing necessary access to company systems and tools, backup and antivirus strategy.
Hardware & Software Support:
System Security & Maintenance:
- Help ensure the security of company systems by monitoring for updates and managing antivirus software. Assist with password resets, access control, and enforcing security policies.
Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:
- Respond to IT support tickets, diagnose issues, and work to resolve problems in a timely manner. Assist employees with technical questions and help them solve issues related to their devices and software.
- Provide remote support via VNC / Remote Desktop.
IT Asset Management:
- Manage inventory of IT assets and ensure proper tracking of hardware and software resources.
Technical Documentation:
- Document IT processes, troubleshooting steps, SOPs, postmortem, and best practices to help create a knowledge base for internal use.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on the latest IT trends, tools, and security practices to ensure our team has the most efficient and secure technology in place.
**Required Qualifications**:
- Proven experience in IT support or a related field.
- Experience in level 1/2 Support
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS, etc.) and common office software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, hardware troubleshooting, and IT security practices.
- Experience with employee onboarding and IT asset management.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience with cloud-based services and remote support tools.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data protection regulations.
