**Description & Requirements**:

- We'll expect you to show versatility, toggling between real-time news updates, live TV hits, and deeply reported long-form stories that untangle the intricacies of global finance. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and bring a team-oriented mindset to the job. The role requires approaching local markets - from sovereign and corporate debt to FX and stocks - not only from a domestic perspective, but also as part of the broader asset class and region.
- We're looking for a self-starter with excellent communication skills who can coordinate seamlessly with colleagues spread across the region. The ability to work across beats is essential—whether that means jumping in on local news coverage beyond markets or supporting broader newsroom priorities as needed.
- We'll trust you to:

- Break news on equity and debt offerings
- Closely track the day to day of local markets, jumping on significant moves for quick stories and offering broader step-back pieces at key moments
- Write compelling stories on emerging trends in Argentina and emerging markets more broadly
- Build sources that bring fresh, authoritative voices to our coverage
- Collaborate across beats and time zones
- You'll need to have
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in capital markets, from debt to currencies and equities
- A healthy rolodex of sources among investors, bankers and traders, and a knack for generating scoops
- Strong writing skills
- Solid news judgment and a strong sense of urgency
- Proven ability to work as a team
- The ability to spot stories where others may not see them
- A desire to keep learning and build your expertise
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred
