You'll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports. The Google Fixed Assets (gFA) team manages the global accounting for Google’s capital expenditure portfolio, manufacturing operations, and related expenses. - As a Fixed Assets Accountant, you'll manage our set of transactions and processes for asset setup, modifications, retirements, month end close reporting, and reconciliation processes related to property, plant, and equipment (PP&E) accounts. The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business. **Responsibilities**: - Work towards improvements of gFA processes to improve quality standards in the fixed assets register, reconciliations, and reporting produced for local audits and close reporting. - Perform month end close tasks related to property, plant, and equipment area. - Prepare and present financial information to different audiences, including finance leaders, business partners, auditors, and regional accountants. - Discover efficiencies in the processes through elimination, automation, and extended workforces.
