Junior Financial Planning Analyst

Hero Digital, a private equity-backed customer experience and digital transformation agency, is looking for a Junior FP&A Analyst to join our growing team, reporting to our Director of Strategic Finance & Corporate Development. **What You'll Do**
- Support the regular cadence of budgeting, financial forecasting, reporting, cash flow analysis, and financial modeling
- Assist in building and owning financial and operating models
- Support M&A due diligence, working with our private equity partner and cross-functional business leaders to evaluate opportunities. Responsibilities include analyzing data room contents, drafting diligence memos, building pro forma financial and operating models, and assisting in the closing processes (e.g., creation and management of the Funds Flow)
- Partner with market and functional leaders to help develop forecasts, reporting critical metrics, and to operationalize data-driven insights and facilitate decision making within cross-functional teams
- Perform capital expenditure, working capital, and liquidity analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, new business and other ad-hoc analyses
- Conduct financial and operational reporting: digest financial results on a monthly and quarterly basis and communicate trends, risks, and opportunities to the executive team
- Perform weekly cash forecasting, including modeling cash receipts, A/R aging, and future disbursements
- Lead and execute month-end and quarter-end variance analysis, ensuring key issues, risk, and business drivers are understood and proactively communicated
- Assist in analyzing and interpreting financial data; transferring that data into relevant and focused information and reports to drive performance results and action
- Work closely with the senior accounting team to ensure proper controls and checks and balances in Finance and throughout the business
- Ensure reliable systems and procedures are in place around FP&A activities
- Assist in creating quarterly board materials in collaboration with management

**Who You Are**
- BA/BS in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, MBA is a plus
- 1-2 years finance experience in financial planning & analysis / corporate finance, or within the finance team
- Experience in investment banking, private equity, or FP&A at a high growth startup or PE-backed company is a plus
- Strong analytical and strategic approach, always looking to deep dive into the figures and challenge the numbers
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting and standard methodologies
- Expert level Excel and presentation skills, with experience building financial models and preparing presentations that clearly convey analysis and conclusions
- Highly motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently, while also able to build strong internal relationships and build consensus on critical initiatives
- Experience with Netsuite, Financial Planning tools, and Analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, Snowflake, etc.) a plus
- Ability to be flexible, multi-task,strong organizational skills and leadership skills
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple projects
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey recommendations and conclusions to senior leadership
