Description Key Responsibilities
As the LatAm Tech Lead, you'll spearhead the development and management of our engineering team in Brazil. Your focus will be on delivering client-specific projects while ensuring technical excellence and alignment with company-wide standards.
Build and manage the LATAM technical team. You will have autonomy in building your team to ensure optimal performance, including shaping the team structure and defining roles to best suit project needs, leading the recruitment process, and expanding hiring possibilities to include non-English speakers, focusing on technical expertise and fit within the team's objectives.
Provide hands-on leadership, with responsibilities evolving as the team expands, with the primary focus shifting to management to ensure high-quality deliveries.
Oversee code reviews, providing technical guidance and ensuring adherence to best practices across the team. As part of this responsibility, the focus will be on maintaining technical excellence while supporting team members in their development and execution of high-quality projects.
While there is a core infrastructure being developed to serve many clients, your focus will be on delivering client-specific projects while ensuring technical excellence and alignment with company-wide standards.
Define the best architecture for client implementations in light of technology choices already made. This is not a role to start projects completely from scratch, as many decisions have already been made over the past year. Therefore, someone looking for a blank slate in terms of technology choices is not the right fit.
Be accountable for the LATAM engineering team responsibilities, primarily handling client-focused projects, including:
Adapting and implementing the company’s existing protocols and APIs to meet specific client needs.
Leading projects focused on integrating company protocols with external client platforms.
Managing the full project lifecycle, from initial client requirements to implementation and ongoing support.
Developing and enhancing features as per client-specific demands, ensuring smooth integration and adaptation of the core technology.
Collaborate with global teams. The LATAM team will operate remotely but collaborate with existing global teams regarding:
Technical changes impacting the core protocol or APIs.
Ensuring the LATAM team's work aligns with broader company goals without directly managing global teams.

Requirements Required Qualifications (must have)
Proven track record as a hands-on software engineer and technical leader in a successful innovative fintech product
Must have familiarity with testing pipelines, writing clean code with good tests, as well as reviewing the team’s code
Must have solid experience with integrations and APIs
Must have good professional and technical english
 Desired Qualifications (nice to have)
8+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, including 3+ years of experience as a software engineering leader
5+ years of experience in early-stage fintech startups (pre-seed to Series C)
Must have familiarity with NodeJS and NextJS tech stacks, Python, or other languages commonly used in blockchain and integrations development
Experience designing and implementing high-performance, low-latency, scalable platforms and products
Experience leveraging & reviewing AI-generated code to enhance team productivity and code quality
