Description:

China is our most important and largest market, pushing massively towards electric mobility. Standards and regulations for New Energy Vehicles are changing rapidly.

Within this fast-growing and developing business of Daimler in China, the eDrive department is continuously evolving. While series production for PHEVs and BEVs will soon be running at full capacity, new electric products need to be implemented.

For our High-Voltage team, this means that more components require local development and validation at both the component and system levels.

One crucial aspect is High Voltage Battery Safety, which encompasses HVB safety specifications, hardware and software validation, and issue analysis of HVB.

1. China localization battery HV safety release recommendation.
2. China localization battery HV safety performance management, validation, and release.
3. China market HV battery safety issue pre-analysis and troubleshooting.
4. Cooperate with headquarters’ high voltage battery team to establish processes and structures in China, as well as for issue troubleshooting and information exchange.
5. Familiarize yourself with all eDrive high-voltage system-related topics.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional departments like product planning, quality, and logistics, setting up project milestones and coordinating activities to meet tight schedules.

Qualifications:

1. Solid fundamental knowledge of high voltage batteries and strong practical ability.
2. Basic knowledge in HV battery safety development and experience in HV battery safety validation testing.
3. Familiarity with vehicle high voltage systems and components (e.g., battery, charging).
4. Experience with oscilloscope and VNA troubleshooting is necessary.
5. Experience in diagnostic tools (e.g., CANoe, DTS-Monaco) is necessary.
6. Project management skills (i.e., planning and organizational skills) are needed.
7. Chinese native speaker with fluent English; German language skills are preferred.
8. Intercultural competence and communication skills with various hierarchy levels.
9. Willingness to travel within China and to foreign countries.
