LATAM Manufacturing Operations Lead
The Latam Manufacturing Operations Lead is responsible for the End-to-End Process for the manufacturing Technology Division including Joinville and Buenos Aires Sites.
This Leader provides direction to the cross-functional team to ensure reliability of quality indicators.
To ensure that all requirements for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS), Quality, Financial and Capex are achieved, consistent with expectations from our company and global team.
The director has a role to develop and execute the site strategic priorities and actively sponsor a culture of continuous improvement, while leveraging Diversity, Equity and Inclusion as a core value.
Main Responsibilities:Set the overall regional strategy, including developing a 5-year plan to optimize site activity and performance.Work with your team to evaluate and continuously improve the plant's Environmental, Health & Safety compliance posture, striving to provide all employees with a safe and healthy workplace.Organize manufacturing activities to guarantee an uninterrupted supply of products at a competitive cost, collaborating with site Leadership Teams to ensure proper reporting.Be responsible for the Product Quality delivered in your scope, providing necessary evidence and documentation to keep products compliant with various global and national regulations.
Ensure that the Quality organization follows the Global Quality strategy.Promote the creation of the right manufacturing performance tracking tools (including the right Key Performance Indicators) and use these tools to evaluate the performance of the manufacturing sites.Promote Lean Manufacturing & 6 Sigma principles in the manufacturing facilities, sponsoring Continuous improvement & best practice sharing initiatives.Co-define and execute a mid-long and long-term strategy for manufacturing sites to cope with targeted growth and the unpredictability of some markets.Frequently interact with other Marketing/Sales and R&D departments in the Region, being aware of market trends and new product/application developments.
Be responsible for the manufacturing teams supporting the necessary commercialization & industrialization activities of unique and improved products/applications with Global functions.Lead the integration between the plants and the region.Provide ongoing feedback and sponsor development opportunities to your Leadership Team, explicitly focusing on talent and expertise pool.Ensure compliance within the Region according to Unit trade standards and policies at Manufacturing sites, supporting trade compliance audits in the Region to ensure compliance with policies and procedures and assisting in developing and implementing corrective and preventive actions.Minimum Requirements:Master's degree in engineering or equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience.
Good understanding of ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO18001 systems with Lean Manufacturing and 6 Sigma principles.Ability to successfully collaborate across functions and geographies with extensive experience in driving cross-functional processes, showing multifunctional growth.Demonstrate creativity and effectiveness in addressing strategic challenges with an entrepreneurial mindset; capable of thinking outside the box and taking measured risks.Strong, inspirational, and enterprise leader with a hands-on, high-energy, action-oriented style.
Establish clear expectations and priorities; drive key initiatives to completion.Willing to challenge conventional thinking and status-quo while driving organizational change resulting in consistent delivery of high-quality results.World-class team player who works effectively in a team-based organization, collaborates cross-functionally, and influences at senior levels.Capable of simplifying and conveying complex concepts and strategies, orally and in writing, with strong presentation skills.Effective performance management skills, holding direct reports accountable and ensuring outcomes are followed by appropriate consequences.Proven ability to lead key initiatives, motivating teams to work collaboratively to achieve objectives.Good understanding of the technical discipline of Manufacturing operations, having applied its principles and methods to support business strategy and drive operational improvements.Possess unquestioned integrity and strong business ethics, demonstrating a firm commitment to the Company's culture and values.Able to understand, integrate, and resolve different customer demands across products and geographies; international experience required.Execute duties with focus, drive, competitiveness, urgency, and a need to win.
