Position Overview: Zifo is seeking a skilled Laboratory Applications Specialist with a strong background in developing and configuring various laboratory scientific software, including Sample Manager, LabWare, StarLIMS, LabVantage, Empower, and OpenLab.
***This role is hybrid, requiring regular on-site presence.***
***Candidates must be authorized to work in the designated region.***
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with clients to gather their needs and translate them into specifications for configuring Sample Manager LIMS.
- Work closely with clients to comprehend their requirements, design solutions, and develop the necessary functionalities.
- Conduct reviews and tests of components and other deliverables.
- Debug programs and components, addressing issues reported post-implementation or during user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Oversee configuration management processes.
- Possess knowledge of databases and database concepts, including SQLServer, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences or Technology.
- Experience in a scientific field such as Biology, Microbiology, or Bioinformatics.
- 3-5 years of experience in configuring LIMS, ELN, or CDS platforms.
- Strong understanding of one or more industry sectors: Biopharma, Biotech, Chemicals, or Health.
- Proficient in Java or other scripting languages.
- Familiarity with C Sharp (C#).
- Advanced skills in MS Excel.
- Experience with LIMS and ELN platforms like Sample Manager and LabVantage.
- Understanding of Lab Information Management Systems concepts.
- Comprehensive knowledge of laboratory workflows and sample lifecycle.
- Experience in GxP environments.
