Scientific Application Analyst

Description: Zifo is searching for an experience Scientific Applications Analyst with experience in developing and configuring various Laboratory scientific applications such as Sample Manager, LabWare, StarLIMS, LabVantage, Empower, OpenLab.

***This position is hybrid but will require regular on-site presence in Pilar, Argentina**

***Candidates must currently be authorized to work in Argentina**

Requirements

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with end customer to understand their requirements and translate them into specifications to configure Sample Manager LIMS
- Collaborate with end customer to understand requirements and translate them into designs, and develops the desired functionality
- Reviews / Tests components and other deliverables
- Debugs programs / components, understands and resolves issues reported post-live or during UAT.
- Manage the configuration management processes
- Knowledge of databases and database concepts (SQLServer, Oracle, PostgreSQL etc.)

Qualifications:

- Bachelors or master’s degree in Life Sciences or Technology
- Background in scientific field: Biology, Microbiology, Bioinformatics
- 3-5 years of experience configuring LIMS or ELN or CDS platform
- Good understanding of one or more industry domains: Biopharma, Biotech, Chemicals, Health etc.
- Possesses good technical knowledge of Java or other scripting language
- Knowledge of C Sharp (C#)
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel
- Experience with LIMS and ELN platforms such as Sample Manager, LabVantage
- Understanding of Lab Information Management Systems concepts
- Good understanding of laboratory workflows and sample lifecycle
- experience working in GxP environments
