PACU and PreOp Nurse Opportunities

We are seeking an experienced PACU and PreOp nurse to join our Surgical Services Unit at Presbyterian Santa Fe Medical Center.
This is a full-time opportunity with 40 hours per week, rotating through Pre Op/PACU and Recovery. You will be working closely with patients prior to surgery to complete paperwork, answer questions, and calm fears about surgery.
As a Recovery Room Nurse, you will monitor post-operation vital signs, assess levels of consciousness, and observe patients for any side effects from anesthesia.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care during shifts, prioritizing tasks and utilizing resources effectively
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve high-quality patient outcomes
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or higher preferred
- State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required
- BLS certification required at time of hire
