Job Description

The Facility Admissions Coordinator is responsible for performing a variety of administrative tasks, including scheduling, registration, and pre-admission processing, while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Main Responsibilities

  • Scheduling: Coordinates patient appointments and schedules, ensuring timely and efficient use of resources.
  • Registration: Verifies patient and insurance demographics, collects co-pays and deposits, and ensures accuracy and completion of paperwork.
  • Pre-Admission Processing: Secures pre-certifications and/or pre-notifications for patient services, verifies insurance benefits and coverage, and provides cost estimates.

Working Environment

The Emergency Room is a fast-paced environment, with rotating shifts, evenings, nights, and weekends/holidays. Must be able to come to work in bad weather.
