Job Summary
The Credit and Debt Recovery Specialist is responsible for collection activities related to past due health insurance premiums and/or past due health insurance claims. This role requires a strong understanding of financial recovery processes and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow established guidelines to contact individuals or groups to collect past due insurance premiums and/or past due health insurance claims.
- Research the validity of past due and/or disputed debt to ensure accurate and fair collection practices.
- Generate demand letters and other correspondence as necessary to facilitate debt recovery.
- Prepare reports reflecting the status of credit and collection activities for management review.
Requirements
- A high school diploma and a minimum of 1 year of prior commercial debt collection experience; or any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills
- Fully bilingual (English and Spanish) to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders.
