Job Summary

The Implementation Consultant I will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and managing client project plans from project kickoff to transition. This position requires a strong understanding of tax rules and processes, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the implementation process, ensuring seamless communication and timely resolution of issues.
  • Complete configuration tasks efficiently and accurately, utilizing Sovos' purpose-built systems to deliver high-quality results.
  • Develop comprehensive Client Procedures documents detailing all configuration specifics and essential information, ensuring clarity and consistency.
  • Provide ongoing service activities for clients post-implementation, particularly during peak processing periods, to ensure continued satisfaction and success.
  • Develop and manage project plans, identify project risks, and proactively resolve project-related issues, ensuring timely completion and high-quality outcomes.
  • Suggest improvements to processes, documentation, tools, reports, etc., to enhance the new customer implementation process, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Learn and adhere to implementation processes and procedures, staying up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes.
  • Lead dynamic work sessions with clients to develop technology-based solutions for business challenges, fostering collaboration and driving results.
  • Ensure a smooth, well-documented transition post-implementation, ensuring continuity and minimizing disruption.
  • Prepare project plans for assigned tasks, balancing commitments across multiple projects, and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Provide training to clients as necessary, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to maximize the value of Sovos' solutions.
  • Understand client business logic, translate requirements into technical specifications, develop customizations, manage the configuration process, and oversee testing through to sign-off, delivering high-quality results.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in a service-related role, preferably in tax compliance or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of Sovos product offerings in the relevant market, with a strong understanding of tax rules and processes.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and decision-making skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with team members, colleagues, and customers, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and success.
  • Capable of comprehending and communicating complex concepts, with a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to concentrate, analyze, and resolve complex problems, with a strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Proficiency with technology, including phone systems and computer hardware/software applications, with minimal travel required to Sovos locations or events.
