Position Overview

We are seeking a candidate with a robust IT foundation, ideally from Networking or Systems Administration, who is eager to evolve into a Cybersecurity professional. This position is part of the Global Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Team, emphasizing collaboration with colleagues across various regions to implement regulatory standards and protect the company's most valuable asset: information. Key responsibilities encompass grasping technical specifications and aligning them with business objectives, performing risk evaluations such as vendor and project assessments, supporting awareness initiatives, and fulfilling security obligations set by our clients. Additionally, this role will assist in managing internal processes and facilitating automation efforts to enhance departmental efficiency.

Core Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the establishment and upkeep of the global Information Security Management System (ISMS) aligned with ISO27001 across the LATAM region, assessing compliance status and providing necessary follow-ups.
  • Identify information security risks within the technical landscape, including interactions with third parties and various operational components.
  • Develop and implement automation strategies to boost team productivity and minimize resources allocated to routine tasks.
  • Research technologies that can elevate the security framework and compliance, such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP), endpoint security, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Acquire knowledge of technical and administrative controls across diverse domains: networking, operations, access management, Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC), cloud security, endpoint protection, physical security, third-party risk evaluation, organizational security, and legal compliance.
  • Detect security threats and vulnerabilities across processes, behaviors, technologies, and contexts that may compromise information confidentiality, integrity, or availability.
  • Assess third-party solutions for potential security risks prior to adoption or implementation, requiring familiarity with technical aspects like protocols, databases, and cloud infrastructures.
  • Contribute to the creation of awareness materials and oversee their distribution and effectiveness measurement.
  • Conduct regular activities to ensure adherence to security frameworks and regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the IT sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in IT disciplines such as:
    • Networking
    • Cloud Computing (AWS, GCP)
    • Log analysis and troubleshooting
    • Access Management (preferably using Identity Provider solutions)
    • Mobile Device Management
    • Endpoint Protection
    • DNS (BMI, SPF, DMARC)
  • Proficient in English at an upper-intermediate level, which will be assessed during the interview process.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Over 1 year of dedicated experience in any of the following roles:
    • Systems Administrator
    • Security Consultant
    • Security Analyst/Engineer
    • Certifications or training related to Information Security
