Role Overview

We are seeking a candidate with a robust IT foundation, ideally from Networking or Systems Administration backgrounds, who is eager to advance in the field of Cybersecurity. This position is part of the Global Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Team, emphasizing collaboration with colleagues across various regions. The primary focus is on executing regulatory frameworks and protecting the company's most valuable asset: its information. Key responsibilities include comprehending technical requirements and aligning them with business objectives, performing risk evaluations such as vendor and project assessments, supporting awareness initiatives, and ensuring compliance with client security mandates. Additionally, this role will assist in managing internal processes and facilitating automation efforts to enhance departmental efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the establishment and upkeep of the global Information Security Management System (ISMS) in accordance with ISO27001 standards across the LATAM region. Assess compliance levels and provide necessary follow-ups.
  • Identify information security risks within the technical landscape, including interactions with third parties and any aspect of the organization's operations.
  • Develop and implement automation strategies to improve team productivity and minimize resources allocated to routine tasks.
  • Research technologies that could bolster the security framework and compliance measures (e.g., Data Loss Prevention, endpoint security, network protection, security assessments).
  • Gain insights into technical and administrative controls across various domains: networking, operations, access management, Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC), cloud security, endpoint protection, physical security, third-party risk evaluation, organizational security, and legal compliance.
  • Detect security threats and vulnerabilities in processes, behaviors, technologies, and contexts that may compromise the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of information.
  • Analyze third-party solutions to uncover security risks prior to their adoption or implementation, requiring knowledge in technical domains such as protocols, databases, and cloud infrastructures.
  • Contribute to the creation of awareness materials and the processes for their delivery and assessment.
  • Conduct routine activities to ensure adherence to security frameworks and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the IT sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in IT domains such as:
    • Networking
    • Cloud Computing (AWS, GCP)
    • Log analysis and troubleshooting
    • Access Management (preferably with Identity Provider solutions)
    • Mobile Device Management
    • Endpoint Protection
    • DNS management (BMI, SPF, DMARC)
  • Proficient in English at an upper-intermediate level, which will be assessed during the interview process.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Over 1 year of dedicated experience in any of the following areas:
    • Systems Administration
    • Security Consulting
    • Security Analysis/Engineering
    • Information Security certifications or training
