Position Overview

The IT department is on the lookout for talented individuals to join our dynamic team. This department plays a crucial role in supporting global operations across the entire value chain, from exploration to production.

Your Role
  • Engage with the Upstream Unconventional Field SCADA teams to deliver top-tier business capabilities and computational solutions to our production assets through advanced software.
  • Participate in all facets of SCADA Engineering, including planning, requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
  • Collaborate with field engineers, headquarters engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to provide effective software and hardware solutions for SCADA assets.
  • Our office is situated in a vibrant area of Buenos Aires.
Key Responsibilities
  • Integrate well site data, saltwater disposal information, compressor site data, and field automation into our WonderWare SCADA systems for alarm tracking and visualization.
  • Oversee the daily support, maintenance, and enhancement of SCADA systems, adhering to corporate standards.
  • Support plants and facilities, ensuring process controls are effectively managed. Interface with various customer and support teams, including automation, measurement, engineering, production, and operations.
  • Work alongside engineers, geoscientists, data managers, and software developers to devise and implement solutions for complex upstream unconventional challenges.
  • Design, implement, deploy, and maintain SCADA systems such as WonderWare and Ignition.
  • Continuously learn and share industry best practices with team members.
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic/Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong command of English, both verbal and written.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing, deploying, and supporting SCADA and automation control systems.
  • Familiarity with SCADA platforms such as Red Lions, WonderWare, Ignition, AutoSol (ACM), and Win911.
  • Experience with firewall platforms including Cisco ASA, Cisco FTD, Palo Alto, and Eagle One.
  • Willingness to participate in a rotational on-call schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the upstream oil and gas sector.
  • Background in large-scale data management systems.
  • Proficiency in building and supporting Ignition screens using Python.
  • Knowledge of AutoSol (ACM), ACP ThinManager, Win911, and Ignition.
  • Experience with RTUs (ROC, TotalFlow), PLCs, and associated HMI hardware/software.
  • Familiarity with WonderWare's software suite (IAS, InTouch, InSQL).
  • Understanding of field radio and network communications.
