We're seeking a highly skilled Strategic Partnership Builder to join our team at Recruitment Room.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing partnerships with key stakeholders in the web3 and digital payments space. This role demands deep knowledge and enthusiasm about both web3 and digital payments.

You'll work closely with product, marketing, and company leadership to recruit and support key partners, inform strategy and accelerate our roadmap. You'll need to be relentlessly creative and optimistic — hustling the $#% out of any potential opportunity to build our influence and maximize serendipity around the project.

We're focused on contributing to the new protocol and building Bend. The protocol is designed to accelerate how money moves across web3. It aggregates liquidity across valuable payment routes and enables intuitive end-user experiences with features like cross-wallet and cross-chain balance aggregation, sub-second transaction routing, and smart settlement according to user preferences.

Bend is the product we build to demonstrate what the protocol makes possible — to show that we can build a seamless payment experience that anyone can use, with web3 today. We're a team of 20 hell-bent on doing our very best work (individually and together), solving hard problems, staying optimistic, and believing money should be better.

This role requires a proven track record of creative dealmaking, negotiating the most favorable terms aligned towards product and company goals, while iterating rapidly on improving future process with new partners. Experience taking a BD function zero:one, as well as managing and scaling business development teams, is also essential.

Responsibilities
  • Grow our product and partner ecosystem through protocol launch and beyond
  • Be a face of the protocol and our Bend product, and an expert on both of them, to partners and customers throughout the web3 space
  • Develop the foundational components of our business development capability, including the development of team processes, the requisite tech stack, the goals for protocol and Bend, and more
  • Build relationships with relevant prospects and stakeholders to ensure that the business development pipeline is generating conversions for the protocol and Bend at a high pace
  • Develop a strong pipeline of partnerships for the protocol and Bend, driving growth with user activity, volume, and product development
Requirements
  • Previous successful experience as a tech startup operator in a similar business development leadership role
  • Demonstrated track record of creative dealmaking, negotiating the most favorable terms aligned towards product and company goals
  • Experience taking a BD function zero:one, as well as managing and scaling business development teams
  • Highly proficient with business development tech tools and other general digital organizational tools

Base salary + equity + token allocation. Location: Remote - US, Canada, LATAM. Estimated salary range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year depending on experience.
