Position Overview: The IT Business Analyst plays a crucial role in shaping the technological demands of terminal operations. This position involves aligning business requirements with IT capabilities and fostering a collaborative environment with both Regional and Global IT Functions, particularly in areas such as Commercial Technology, Digital Operations, Data & Analytics, TOS Delivery, Global EDI, and Cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify improvement opportunities, preparing actionable recommendations to enhance operational efficiency.
- Develop comprehensive business requirement documents and specifications to guide IT initiatives.
- Collaborate with management to investigate and document business challenges related to workflow procedures and processes.
- Analyze data trends and partner with management to devise innovative IT solutions that address operational needs.
- Work closely with terminal operational and functional teams to pinpoint and implement enhancements to business operations, utilizing WOW/OS Lean methodologies as primary tools.
- Engage with regional platform business analysts to explore opportunities for modernizing, streamlining, and standardizing the terminal technology portfolio.
- Provide insights from the frontline to various regional and global tech teams, ensuring that terminal constraints are considered early in the development of new capabilities.
- Participate in root cause analysis for significant incidents affecting terminal operations, ensuring that identified countermeasures are effectively implemented.
- In collaboration with the Terminal IT Manager, define strategies for modernizing the terminal technology portfolio, with a focus on application rationalization.
- Act as the primary IT contact for Shipping Line Customers, closely coordinating with the Terminal Commercial Team to manage demands such as EDI and customer-facing applications.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in advanced data analysis techniques.
- Strong understanding of the terminal operating model, demonstrating credibility with both IT and business stakeholders.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and applying WOW (Lean) standards and tools.
- Proven experience in managing demands effectively.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English is required.
