Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of backend services, ensuring code quality and scalability using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Design and implement cloud-native architectures using AWS and Terraform, focusing on operational excellence and scalable code solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, prioritizing seamless user experiences.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code using modern testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize backend performance and scalability, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.
- 7+ years of experience in backend development with a focus on Node.js and TypeScript.
- Strong experience with AWS (Lambda, S3, ECS, RDS, etc.) and cloud-native architecture.
- Expertise in Docker and Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Proficiency in writing unit tests and ensuring quality with modern testing frameworks.
- Solid understanding of building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and distributed systems in a cloud environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality software within time constraints.
- Must have own computer (relevant software and subscriptions provided) and access to a quiet work area at home with reliable internet (50 Mbps or more).
As a Cloud Native Backend Software Engineer at Meteor, you can expect:
- A competitive salary range of $4,000 - 7,000 USD per month, depending on experience and location.
- A full-time contractor position with a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- The opportunity to work remotely from Chile, allowing for a better work-life balance and reduced commuting time.
- Application / Screening: A short questionnaire and psychometric evaluation to assess your qualifications and fit for the role.
- Skills Assessment: Exercises and projects designed to recreate the work tasks and evaluate your skill level.
