">We are seeking an experienced Sr Platform Engineer to join our team at FullStackRemote. As a key member of our global network, you will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing our client's software platform.
">About the Role
">The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of professional experience as a Platform, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineer, with a strong background in cloud platforms (Heroku, AWS, Google Cloud). Experience with Ruby on Rails, Vue.js, Firebase, and Postgres is also highly desirable.
">You will be responsible for ensuring platform scalability, reliability, and security, while automating deployment and managing CI/CD pipelines. Your technical expertise will drive continual platform improvements, emphasizing innovation and quality.
">Key Responsibilities
">- Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Own the entire lifecycle of a ticket: scoping, development, test, production, and subsequent fixes and improvements.
- Performing platform upgrades (Ruby, Rails, Postgres etc) and code review of other team members.
- Monitoring and performance tuning (at architecture and app level).
- Identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to improve performance.
- Implement code that is clear, concise, tested, and easily understood by others.
- Write and improve our client's documentation and development processes.
- Make contributions to our client's core values, processes, and anything else that can be improved.
Requirements
">To be successful in this role, you must have:
">- At least 5 years of professional experience as a Platform, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineer.
- At least 5 years of professional experience with DevOps with Linux/Docker/CI/CD.
- At least 5 years of experience with cloud platforms (Heroku, AWS, Google Cloud).
Benefits
">This position offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and abilities. The company anticipates this position to be a long-term engagement for the ideal candidate. This position requires an overlap with US MST - The more you can overlap, the better. 100% Remote LATAM (Latin America) only.
">Type of Position
">This position requires the candidate to become a FTE (full-time, permanent hire).
">Testing
">At FullStackRemote, we require that you go through a video technical interview + a code test as part of our vetting process.
