Leadership Role - Clinical Research and Development



    BOG Fortrea Colombia Ltda. is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Sr. Payment Manager to oversee the supervision of assigned direct reports within the department. This leadership role requires a strong working knowledge of the ICH-GCP guidelines and all other applicable guidelines and regulations.



Key Responsibilities



    Supervision of Direct Reports: Responsible for the supervision of assigned direct reports within the department.



    Detailed Performance Review: Responsible for detailed performance review and management of direct reports, including annual performance management and development, individual development plans, line of sight goals, shoves, and tugs.



    Performance Issues Resolution: Responsible for appropriate management of performance issues and their resolutions.



    Performance Indicators: Measure performance indicators for assigned staff.



    Individual Training Needs: Escalate potential individual training needs and assist in the conduct of training and development efforts.



    Quality Issues: Conduct, report, and follow up on quality-related issues for direct reports as required.



    Management Strategies: Effectively communicate management strategies, policies, and procedures in conjunction with leadership teams.



    Relationship Management: Develop and maintain effective relationships with management teams to manage assigned staff in a matrix environment.



    Stakeholder Management: Maintain good working relationships with all relevant stakeholders to ensure opportunities for acquiring additional business.



GCP & Quality Oversight



    GCP Training: Has GCP oversight of direct reports by ensuring GCP training is completed, understood, and implemented.



    GCP and Quality Issues: Identify GCP and quality issues through regular interactions with direct reports. Plan and execute required actions to resolve those issues.



    Training Compliance: Ensure training compliance with training matrices and records are up to date.



    SOPs and Standard Plans: Provide inputs on relevant SOPs and standard plans/templates for use by project management and clinical operations staff.



Onboarding and Training



    New Direct Reports: Assist in the onboarding of new direct reports, including conducting and delivering required job role-specific training.



    GCP Issue Escalations: Hold direct reports accountable for GCP issue escalations to the management team, the sponsor, or QA as applicable.



    Quality and Compliance: Hold staff accountable for quality and compliance with client SOP, Covance SOP, and deliverable timelines.



    Relationship Coaching: Coach staff on maintaining effective relationships with all relevant stakeholders.



Productivity and Financial Management



    Workload Status: Communicate the status of assigned workload for metric reporting.



    Billable Hours: Perform weekly reviews of direct report billable hours and associated utilization per the budget plan (quarterly and annually budget planning). Escalation management for outliers for mitigation.



    Goals and Objectives: Adhere to goals and objectives.



    Resource Management: Engage in resource management activities for direct reports.



    Staff Recruitment: Assist with staff recruitment through screening and interviewing.



    Financial Authority: Financial authority in accordance with the current signature approval matrix.



    Expense Management: Accountable for expense management, expense report approval, and compliance with travel policy/home-based policy of direct report.



    Process Improvement: Liaise with all relevant stakeholders in process improvement initiatives, including Six Sigma.



    Standardized Processes: Encourages the use of standardized processes and tools in alignment with associated policies to ensure efficiency and productivity.



    Quality Review: Schedule quality reviews of reporting line work and ensure costs are in alignment with budget as required.



Qualifications



    Education: University/college degree (life science preferred) or certification in an allied health profession from an appropriate accredited institution.



    Work Experience: 10+ years of work experience in clinical research, including a strong working knowledge of the ICH-GCP guidelines and all other applicable guidelines and regulations.



    Leadership Experience: 1-2 years of people management experience would be an added advantage.
