About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled COE Project Controlling Specialist to join our team at SAP. As a key member of our Business Area Controlling Team, you will provide financial insight and guidance throughout the entire project life cycle, ensuring the visibility of financial impacts to our market unit's profit and loss position.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support deals at the Bid Phase from a financial and accounting perspective, providing commercial and deal execution support.
  2. Act as an adviser to Project Managers to set up the right financial steering model in the monitoring phase.
  3. Evaluate project forecasts and engage in financial closing activities to identify potential financial risks and ensure correct project accounting.
  4. Drive transparency of project financial impacts on the forecast to ensure forecast reliability.
  5. Provide financial analysis to Top Management to aid with customer negotiations and business steering decisions.
  6. Provide financial transparency at the global and regional level and Market unit for strategic customer accounts.
  7. Drive standardization and improvement of business operations, controlling, and delivery processes that promote better financial steering and management of projects on local, regional, and global levels.
  8. Perform trainings and enablement on the roll-out of new processes and tools.
  9. Drive compliance and correct account postings in liaison with Revenue Recognition, Corporate Audit, and CFR teams.
  10. Act as a role model for using our own SAP products, as a catalyst for increased financial monitoring efficiency.

Requirements

  1. University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  2. Good knowledge of the SAP Services business.
  3. Strong communication skills (in English) and the ability to understand complex frameworks.
  4. Excellent financial and analytical skills.
  5. Strong conceptual and structured work style, strong sense of prioritization, results, and execution-focused.
  6. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, presentation, and writing skills to successfully interact with colleagues and executive management alike.
  7. Excellent skills in diagnosing inefficiencies in business processes and driving corrective actions.
  8. Business-level English, additional languages a plus.
  9. Good knowledge in MS Office applications (Excel/PowerPoint), SAP ERP, and SAP BO tools.
  10. Experience in Revenue Accounting (RAR) and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) a plus.
  11. 5+ years professional work experience with a strong focus on controlling processes.
  12. Experience in SAP Services Business is an added advantage.
