Job Overview—Customer Service Representative

Position Summary

As a Customer Service Representative, your primary focus will be to enhance customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to the company's offerings. You will engage with both internal and external clients to provide clarity on fundamental underwriting standards, policies, and promotional strategies while managing customer accounts effectively. Furthermore, you will assess, elucidate, and rectify questions pertaining to policies and accounts.

Key Responsibilities in Client Relationship Management include:

  • Achieving licensure in Property & Casualty and Life/Health within six months of employment.
  • Identifying customer needs and expectations to assist them in selecting suitable products and solutions.
  • Soliciting, marketing, and negotiating new business policies.
  • Evaluating renewal business and determining necessary follow-up actions based on changes.
  • Cross-selling and upselling products to current clients.
  • Documenting customer interactions and transactions, including inquiries, complaints, and actions taken.
  • Supporting the annual review process by reaching out to clients and preparing tailored coverage recommendations based on their requirements.
  • Conducting risk assessments and field underwriting.
  • Acting as a liaison for clients and claims, escalating unresolved grievances or complex issues to senior team members.
  • Adhering to company and agency protocols.
  • Performing general customer service tasks as needed.
  • Carrying out additional responsibilities as assigned.

Work Environment

The required duties are typically performed in a controlled office setting.

Preferred Qualifications

A four-year college degree is highly preferred, while a high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory. Previous experience in customer service is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will possess basic computer skills, fundamental math skills, strong analytical abilities, conflict resolution expertise, multitasking capabilities, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
