Job Overview
We're seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Grant Coordinator in both San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties.
The successful candidate will research available funding opportunities from Federal, State, and local resources as well as private corporations and foundations for Community Health Centers of the Central Coast (CHC).
The role requires collaboration with multiple departments to ensure all documentation and various requirements are met to seek and manage grant funding(s) for CHC.
It is the primary purpose of CHC to provide the highest quality of total care possible to the patient population it serves.
Such a level of quality depends ultimately on the staff's desire and ability to work together, individually, and as a team.
The employee is expected to be professional, punctual, maintain regular attendance, cooperative, motivated, and organized at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Identify and research potential funding sources for CHC based on needs assessment and the population that CHC serves.
  2. Develop a grant calendar of due dates for potential funding sources.
  3. Partner with appropriate leaders to develop funding proposals which address program and community needs and respond to interest of funding sources.
  4. Maintain files of grant proposals and RFPs by fiscal year in which submitted.
  5. Maintain a mini-library of information on funding sources, grant writing, and community and state data relevant to agency programs and services.
  6. Develop and maintain a grant report schedule for grants which are funded noting report due dates and the individuals responsible.
  7. Communicate regularly with the CFO, Controller, and Behavioral Health Director to provide status of grants.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field required.
Master's degree in related field is preferred.

Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and media representatives.
