Check Services is part of Wealth Management Securities Operations. The Check Service s te am manages incoming/outgoing checks to/from JPM firm and client brokerage accounts, with an emphasis on client retirement accounts. Additional team responsibilities include subsequent check entry processing, reporting, reconciliation, inquiries, documentation management, and control processing for internal, audit, and regulatory requirements.

Check Services is a global team located in Newark, Jersey City, and Buenos Aries. Check Services supports multiple line-of-business, including WM, JPMA, and Prime Finance. Check Services works closely with multiple organizations, including CIB and CCB.

As a Check Services Sr Associate, you will be responsible for operational processing and controls of the daily workflow within your specific operational area. This would also include approving transactional flows and potentially managing a team of analysts.

**In this role you will be facing different challenges such as**:

- Understand the operational flow, identify issues, analyze problems, and provide solutions
- Perform day-to-day operations as needed
- Manage escalations
- Learn products/processes in scope with operations and understand upstream and downstream impacts
- Attend and/or lead team meetings with staff and management
- Document procedures and process flows, and ensure they are kept current and accurate
- Establish processes to perform varied routine and non-routine tasks
- Be responsible for checklist supervisory functions including Written Supervisory Procedures (WSP) as well as evaluate and implement controls to ensure processes are performed and documented adequately
- Assist with compiling ad-hoc metrics for management reporting and continuously refine until no longer required
- Assist in developing and reviewing documented test plans, and coordination of test scenarios
- Assist in the development of training materials as required

**And these are some of the activities you will be responsible for**:

- Fluency in English (verbal and written)
- Prior Team Lead experience is a plus
- Relevant Securities Operation experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Strong comprehension and communication/presentation
- Strong stakeholder management /relationship skills
- Ability to analyze a process, identify and implement improvements
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in a team environment
- Ability to demonstrate a strong client focus; ability to partner with various internal groups and client coverage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office i.e., Word, Excel, Access, Outlook
- Working knowledge/prior experience with Visio workflow tools and intelligent automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, RPA, Python, Xceptor).
