**Position Overview**

The position will lead the creation of sourcing strategies that lay out clear action steps to drive cost savings, engaging and aligning with the internal/external customers as well as collaborating in the management of key suppliers. Also participating in global key supplier reviews and identify opportunities for improved sourcing initiatives.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Assist sales team and NA branches negotiating rates with steamship lines and airlines.
- Maximize profitability levels by developing creative procurement solutions.
- Assist the Tender team with quotations, input, analysis, and follow-up.
- Negotiate Commodity mix with Carriers (NAC, FAKs and spot).
- Cooperate with Procurement Manager and EVP strengthening carrier relationship.
- Cooperate with Sales Manager and team creating solutions for their customers and assist on quotations, customer procurement needs and local offices coordination.
- Follow-up reporting of quotations and detect opportunities to improve our offers from carriers to secure more business.
- Further develop the relationship and support with internal and external customers.
- Proactively seek to have short turnarounds of quotations and actively follow-up rate filing.
- Be detail oriented to avoid quotations mistakes.
- Develop solid knowledge of needs and specificities of key customers, being a support to the VP of Sales.
- Capture market intelligence to contribute to Fracht’s Market Report.
- Experience in CW and Cargosphere is a big PLUS.

**Education and Experience Rquired**
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Undergraduate degree in logistics or related business field
- Self-disciplined, strong leadership and motivational abilities.
- Creative ability in developing sales strategies and solutions and in presenting innovative solutions to customers.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and PowerBi).
- Excellent verbal and written communication, time management and organizational skills; ability to actively listen and respond to questions with complete and accurate answers.
- Effective negotiator and clear communicator of ideas and solutions.
- Detail oriented and perfectionist.
- Comfortable working with short deadlines.

**Physical Requirements**
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully in accordance with the ADA,
- FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance in accordance with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
