Responsible for building and nurturing pipeline of sales opportunities and incremental revenue aligned with the Sales and Marketing teams, focusing on leads within their assigned space. Nurture and develop the opportunities through the digital tools available once they have moved into the sales cycle, transition them to the appropriate Sales teams. Drive digital and high quality engagement with potential customers delivering superior customer experience.
Core tasks include:
> Qualify leads received from marketing or other organizations and nurture opportunities
> Generating incremental Opportunities through social selling, strategic & targeted prospecting into companies
> Manage opportunities to ensure a good transition to implementation and account development
> Handover qualified opportunities to sales with high quality, ensuring the best customer experience
> Build and execute upon strategic outbound campaigns to obtain additional leads
**Key Responsibilities & Tasks**
The Sales Development Supervisor manages a team of Sales Development Specialists and/or Sales Development Senior specialists (commonly referred to as Sales Development Executive "SDE") whose mission is to extend SAP's market coverage in the Midmarket segment by generating new pipeline for SAP Midmarket solutions.
The Sales Development Supervisor management goals are: 1. To produce high quality pipeline with a high conversion rate to bookings for the SAP Midmarket business area. 2. To develop SDE talent into the future Midmarket Sales Account Executives 3. To operate with excellence, taking data-driven business decisions to optimize Demand Generation tactics, and running an operating model with rock solid business process execution.
The Sales Development Supervisor works in close collaboration with the regional SAP Midmarket Sales leadership, as well as their peer Demand Management leaders (Marketing, Go-to-Market, Partner and Eco-system) to drive new and incremental sales qualified leads and opportunities for the SAP Midmarket solutions portfolio.
The Sales Development Supervisor coaches SDEs to help them assess target markets and accounts, identify prospects aligned to the SAP Midmarket solutions personas and gather insights to craft the best possible communication strategy to capture prospects’ interest.
The Sales Development Supervisor manages team performance, driving each individual SDE towards full quota achievement to meet and exceed team-wide pipeline production goals.
The Sales Development Supervisor's tasks are performed within the following level of accountability, complexity, experience, communication:
Accountability: Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of a team. Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors
Experience: limited or no previous managerial experience. Advanced technical or business skills and special knowledge in one / several areas
Communication: Builds and maintains partnerships with internal and external customers and partners. Formulates clear team objectives and work assignments. Communicates unpleasant messages in a timely and constructive manner to team, with higher-level management support in critical cases.
