Job opportunity: General Manager Are you a dynamic professional looking to advance your career with a leading global shipping and logistics company recognized for its commitment to operational excellence, safety and innovation? If so, you could be the person we’re looking for to take on the role of General Manager at our office in Argentina, with a strong focus on the maritime and offshore sectors. We are looking for an experienced professional to combine strategic leadership with hands‑on commercial and operational knowledge, while overseeing all aspects of the operations, ensuring compliance with international standards and driving business growth and regional development. Key Responsibilities Provide overall leadership and strategic direction across all business of GAC Argentina. Represent the company at the highest level with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders. Oversee, manage, and optimize tanker & offshore operations, agency services and regulatory procedures with focus on efficiency and compliance. Manage offshore operations logistics and support services (supply bases, PSV/AHTS/OSV coordination, permits, certifications, compliance). Build and maintain strong relationships with authorities, regulatory bodies, terminals, and key stakeholders. Monitor KPIs, operational efficiency, costs, and profitability to ensure sustainable growth. Lead business development initiatives: expand client portfolio, identify opportunities, and contribute to technical-commercial proposals. Ensure strict compliance with HSSE standards, compliance and ethics, corporate policies, and international regulations. Job Requirements Requirements 10 years of proven experience in shipping and/or offshore operations. Previous senior leadership experience (General Management, Country Manager, or equivalent). Strong knowledge of Argentine maritime regulations, port procedures, and offshore logistics. Offshore background preferred: O&G, renewable energy, vessel support operations (PSV, AHTS), supply chain management. Advanced English (mandatory). Solid financial acumen: KPIs, cost analysis, and management reporting. Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and decision‑making skills.
