What this job can offer you As a critical extension of our clients’ HR teams, you will navigate and advise on the intricate paths of global employment with unmatched speed, expertise, and precision. You will help sustain and expand our compliance coverage, enhance customer journeys, and increase operational capacity across more than 80 countries. Key Responsibilities Manage and resolve complex end‑to‑end employee exits across multiple jurisdictions, prioritizing a superior off‑boarding experience. Provide guidance on HR matters including termination, resignation, transfer procedures, contracts, and redundancy processes, ensuring legal compliance. Lead and facilitate meetings with clients and external employees on workforce‑reduction consultation, administrative hearings, negotiations, and settlements. Influence and negotiate positive outcomes in complex terminations, navigating stakeholders with competing interests. Coordinate with payroll, legal counsel, government bodies, and trade unions to ensure compliance in off‑boarding activities. Draft, tailor, and administer termination and supplementary documents with accuracy and attention to detail. Process off‑boarding on Remote’s internal HRIS platform in collaboration with Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and Time and Attendance teams. Act as first point of informal escalation, mentoring junior team members. Provide comprehensive guidance on Remote’s Employee Relations resources. Conduct preliminary assessments of workplace concerns, identifying regulations and paths forward. Track and monitor ongoing employee‑relations cases for timely follow‑up. Serve as subject‑matter expert and resolve internal/external queries on off‑boarding and first‑level Employee Relations matters. Identify opportunities and drive process improvements, automation, and product development. Determine methods and standards for new assignments, exercising judgment on procedures and evaluation criteria. What you bring Extensive experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner, with generalist HR competencies across the employee lifecycle. Tertiary qualifications in HR, labour relations, or paralegal studies considered a plus. Proven experience managing voluntary and involuntary exits with care, sensitivity, and legal compliance. Strong understanding of employee‑relations principles, progressive discipline, and workplace investigation fundamentals. Ability to partner effectively with stakeholders including Legal, Payroll, and Time and Attendance teams. Analytical skills to interpret industrial instruments, research, translate findings, and communicate solutions in ambiguous environments. Superior communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills. Business‑level proficiency in written and spoken English; additional languages a plus. Appetite to innovate and optimize processes, identifying automation opportunities. Strong operational efficiency and record‑keeping focus. Tech savvy, proficient in Notion, Slack, GSuite, and Zendesk. Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced, asynchronous, remote international environment, balancing multiple priorities. Proactive, self‑motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and ability to inspire others.
